My 2023 Toyota Highlander has a "touch screen" but I control the volume, AC/Heat, and pretty much everything else manually with knobs (not through the touch screen). Sure some settings are only accessed through the screen but it certainly doesn't have to happen while I'm driving.
2021 Prius has touchscreen for everything. It’s infuriating.

A modern car is complicated enough that you can't manage all functions with physical controls.

Anonymous wrote:OP I think you’re wrong. My Subaru has a touch screen, but you don’t have to use it to operate anything in the car related to driving. It’s only for accessory stuff, like car play. You can use voice commands for that too.

A huge number of consumers are complaining about the stupidity of touchscreen everything because you need to navigate through screens and options while driving. Being able to physical feel dials and knobs turn is way better.
