I appreciate your opinion but I’m the parent of the senior who thinks it is dumb, and they do think it is dumb. They do not want to go and I am not making them.

This makes sense. I can see how the students would actually enjoy it because they are leaving behind this school and the kids clapping will one day be the 5th graders at that school.
