Boys are 15 and 11. I still get hugs and kisses (cheek) at home. They will literally tackle me if I pretend I don't want a hug. I am not a hugger, so we never really did that outside the home.

My 13 year old son still need a hug and kiss. He needs it once a while especially if there is alot of pressure in performing on something, school or sports or just alot of things happening that week.
Unfortunately, sometimes, i don't like to be huggy or kissy and push him away. But, i notice if i do it in a humorous way like he's a baby, I get a smile out of him and the hugging stops, so that's a win win. He likes hand holding too with me and his dad. Meanwhile his dad just wants to give him a handshake-really?!

I think it’s more of a personality thing than an age thing. I’ve never been a hugger but my 13 year old DD is so we hug A LOT. Lol! 15 year old DS does not like hugs but I’ll make him occasionally.

Yes! Keep hugging your 14 year old even if it's a pity hug. One day they come back to you and start bear hugging again.

My oldest is 7 and still super affectionate these stories are so reassuring! Early teen years aside, I hope she always feels comfortable hugging us!

My almost 17yo DS is very comfortable with hugging etc and still does. 21yo dd is a little less huggy and stopped for awhile entirely in mid-late teens but she is much more snuggly again which I really enjoy.

Yes. Always hugs me when they get home and kisses me goodbye/goodnight and says I love you. DS is 13 and DD is 18.

Yes. We are an affectionate family though.
My teen (boy) and tween (girl) get a kiss on the head every morning and at least one hug per day. I asked my son at one point if he was ok that I was still initiating hugs and he said of course we're going to hug you're my mom. In that teen way as if it was the dumbest question ever. Some times he'll act put out or not hug me back and I just keep on going and make it a silly joke at that point. But most of the time he hugs back.
