Paxton went after the Speaker of the House. Said he was drunk while presiding over the House and should resign. That’s what triggered the impeachment.

Again, that ain't it. I won't bother posting links no one is going to read (again), but the Texas Tribune and Texas Monthly are the best sources for what is really going on. Current belief is that authorizing the $3.3 million to settle the whistleblower cases might have implicated the committee members/TX Legislature in a cover up that is being federally investigated. Speculation is that there is also more evidence of criming to come.

I think it’s because there’s an US Attorney in the western district of Texas who’s actually investigating all this stuff while none of the Trump-nominated ones were, so there will be additional federal charges and movement on the indictment he’s been under for years.
I don’t think that’s it. This guy has been a slime ball for years. He’s almost as dirty as Rick Scott.
