Friend's family went to visit a local dam (like Hoover Dam size.) An uncle leaned against a railing which wasn't secured properly and tumbled into the churning water below and drowned by the time they got to him.
I won't trust the fixtures at any tourist attractions since hearing this, even in the U.S. I'm not going to trust that someone has checked to make sure each bolt is secure.

I know a super healthy 35yo that had the same thing happen. She lived, but had s TBI and needed a full year recovery to learn to walk again and everything
