Not everyone eats at the same time. That’s the big secret. Have a big spread of food that can sit out, so people can graze. The hot dogs and hamburgers come out in batches.

I’ve done it. Heck I’ve done it during a Thunderstorm where everyone ran into the basement and I was grilling with a large umbrella.

Hamburgers, make them yourself not frozen and make them thinner, hot dogs, lots of buffet style food salads, pre grilled veggies, chili, etc. I’ll sometimes also have baked potatoes. You cook them in the oven a few hours before the event, cover them with a towel in a large cooler.

You need 2 grills minimum and ideally 3-4 people working the plating and grilling.

We’ve done large events (including making our own fries) for about 30 people. We had catering staff; a complete outdoor kitchen and brought in a second grill.

It would not be possible least bit fun to do try to do it all yourself or make guests help/work.

If you want to grill you could sous vide everything in advance so it just needs to be seared on the grill.

Or, just do very easy thing slike marinated chicken breast, sausages, and burgers.

I don’t eat butt.

Sorry you are missing out.

Cater it or just plan for most of the food to be not grilled and then grill things like hot dogs and precooked sausages. You could have pulled pork also. And lots of sides.

Get an electric roaster. Start burgers early and keep them warm in the roaster. Do hot dogs at the time.

Have lots of sides.

I'd do a pulled pork in a smoker ahead of time, along with hot dogs in a crockpot.

You can do it. Trick is to have toms of premade stuff that does not need to go on the grill.

Hot dog station

- dogs in “dirty water” like what you get in New York.

- Some chili in a crockpot to top the hot dog. Some corn muffins … premade. All condiments to dress up the hot dog. A heated tray with the buns (butter the outside).

Salads
- Potato salad,
- fruit salad
- coleslaw
- pasta salad
- caprese salad
- rosemary roasted potatoes

Appetizers
- Herb stuffed mushrooms
- cream cheese stuffed peppers.
- Mac and cheese
- corn on the cob

Meat
- pulled pork in crock pot
- pulled chicken in crockpot

On the grill
- Shrimp on the Barbie
- premade Costco ribs with sauce and spices

Make smash burgers on the grill because it comes together fast.

You could do stuff in oven/broiler and finish on grill. Or if you have a big enough grill doing food for 50 isn’t hard. Not everyone will eat or arrive at same time.

I am cooking next week for 100 +/- on two park type grills at a friends neighborhood beach.
