I'd go look in Comfort One Shoes and try on a bunch. Sometimes you get a great salesperson, sometimes not so much, but my feet don't reliably match Internet reviews.

At least 80 percent of what they carry is not terribly cute, but some things are cute, and if you find a good fit it should be comfortable.

I am the PP and I’m just reading these reviews and finding them meh. Maybe just get nice espadrilles instead… like soludos and use an insole

Maybe you’re looking for Cole Haan espadrilles? I don’t have these yet but I have regular espadrilles, with which I add insets for long walking, and Cole Haan sneakers are generally pretty wearable. These seem fine

Skechers makes closed toe shoes. Very nice and comfortable.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a non sneaker and non sandal? I love comfortable sandals but for city walking I prefer something closed-toed/enclosed because of city dirt and grime.
