Yes. It makes me wonder about homeschooled kids in general.
Kids being homeschooled by college & grad school-educated parents is one thing; being homeschooled by parents who never went to college AND were homeschooled themselves is a whole other thing.

Not a lot of new information but really enjoying hearing the first hand perspectives.

What's not explained, IMO, is how prevalent spanking was and is. Clearly the IBLP facilitates abuse, but this is only possible because abuse is so normalized in our society.

Jessa seems kind of half in half out, I would have been surprised to see her participate.
She's dependent on her father.
By design. He didn’t allow her to get a proper education that would allow her to support herself.
Exactly. I know an ex-IBLP person who used children's workbooks to learn everything she was either taught incorrectly or not taught at all. She did this after attempting community college on her own and bombing spectacularly, which is how she realized how mis/uneducated she was. So sad. She was finally able to complete her B.S. degree when she was 30 and she's doing well now.

Anonymous wrote:The parents issued a statement about the documentary and said something about how they love all their children but prefer to handle things privately. Basically taking Josh’s side over Jill yet again. Sickening.
