Where? I’ve been teaching high school for over 20 years in two different states and haven’t seen any. I’ve never seen any of my own kid’s friends wear them either. Is this a private school thing?

Exactly. Letter jackets haven’t been a thing since the 80s in the public schools. The letter sweaters died out in the 70s. At least in this area. A few still purchase but rarely wear then.
Yeah, maybe in this area, but I went to high school in Southern CA in the 90s and they absolutely were a thing. Pretty much everyone who earned a letter bought a jacket and wore it regularly.
