The reboot would need to have a single Jerry and Kramer in their same apartments. Elaine divorced from Putty but still having him pop in and out periodically. George still jumping from job to job.

The beauty of the show is that it is about nothing and these flawed people found true friendship with each other.

This is an interesting question. Seinfeld featured a lot of mocking people for their oblivious earnestness, which I think we could use more of in the time of uncritically celebrating earnest dogmatism. A show that makes fun of all stripes of "warriors" around us? Yes, please.

But it won't happen.

I would watch a reboot that focuses on the kids of Seinfeld and company, with the originals in there as well. Like an updated Mrs. Maisel Seinfeld combo.

Product of its time, can't be rebooted.

We saw Seinfeld at the Anthem and it was awesome! 100x funnier than the show.

The worst part of Seinfeld was the beginning of the show where he's doing stand-up. Absolutely, terrible and not funny. The whining and general awfulness of the characters was hilarious.

They could do something funny where they replace Kramer and don't acknowledge it overtly, but lots of jokes about replacing him, cancel culture, whatever.

You can't recreate the original humor in today's world. A great deal of the Seinfeld humor would not be allowed on national TV by today's new generation of self-censoring moral prudery. It's the same media establishment that is having hysterics over Tucker Carlson reviving his show on twitter because, to quote a NBC anchor, who will police what Carlson says? 1990s Seinfeld was during a time when you would have been laughed off prime TV for daring to suggest any actor or comedian or broadcaster needed to have their content policed. It's one reason why there's a noticeable dearth of comedy these days.

Today demands a different kind of humor, if it is ever allowed. And it won't be allowed. At least not yet.
