I’m so sorry, OP. It is so hard. I especially found it hard to watch the world go on like normal when life was anything but for my family. The pain never goes away but over time it gets a little less sharp and constant.

My mother is in hospice now. My DS just had a 10 hour surgery this spring for a lifelong condition that got diagnosed a couple years ago. My DS’s experience has made me appreciate my mothers long and wonderful life.
