I hate those bric-a-brac type stores, just walking in and seeing all that jumbled dusty stuff piled together stresses me out.

Seriously sad about that! I have a collection and was able to pick up unusual actual German nutcrackers at TM for a song. I could never find a flaw and just figured the version didn't sell thus TM. I always thought of it as first use thrift store, like it seemed like a thrift store but no one had actually ever used what was being sold. RIP Tuesday Morning.

The prices weren't very good there compared to Homegoods, etc. Always an unorganized mess at the Rockville store.

i would pick up packages of flatware when I was running short . I always found some kind of treasure there even on a "practical" visit.

No. I actually like thrifting or a Home Goods visit but Tuesday Morning was pretty bad. Even when I got good stuff there, like nice gift bags for cheap, it was hard to justify a whole store of random unwanted stuff. Dollar stores are depressing too but at least they sell stuff people need and are stocked regularly.

I just couldn't stand shopping in their stores. It was a really unpleasant experience. The inside basically looked like a Goodwill with old racks, bad lighting and stock just haphazardly strewn everywhere. Nothing like Home Goods which is so clean and organized.

I’m sorry TM is going out of business because I bought some really nice Denby stoneware there at a great price, and I would have liked to add to that collection cheaply.

But I did think the store was depressing.

They are going out if business because now it’s easier for people to compare prices online and realize all those great deals, we’re not so great.

I think it was the pandemic and supply chain issues they were dealing with.
