Yes, our little Breville oven does everything! Love it.


The breville oven is cool but it is not little! It’s huge! I was given one but I simply don’t have room for it. It’s easily twice the size of our old toaster oven and given the heat, it really needs ample space for ventilation. I actually think it ought to be under a vent hood.

I could see it as a replacement for our full sized oven but I can’t imagine ever having room for it. Even if I had a huge house and kitchen I would want it to be built in somehow like a wall oven I guess.

Are you sure there’s not something defective with yours? We are on our second and neither has our off any heat. Use it in our small pantry and even store things on top.

I think the non stick coating / easy clean up is half the love of air fryers.

Pleeeeeease share this recipe.


I cut up the head of cauliflower, toss it in a bowl with a tablespoon of olive oil and then coat with cooking spray. Add garlic salt all over. Preheat air fryer for 2 minutes to 360. Then cook for 5 min, toss and cook for 5 more min.

An air fryer is perfect for my retired parents because it lets them cook small amounts of food quickly. It is also at counter height and is safer than my elderly mom trying to lift a heavy glass casserole full of hot food out of the oven.

Do you have children? Do they like crispy chicken nuggets or fish sticks?

I can cook 4-6 nuggets in 10 min instead of turning on the oven for 30+ min to preheat and then cook.

We have a gourmet kitchen with multiple thermador ovens (gas and electric).The air fryer gets the most use in our household because it's so fast and really crisps everything up nicely.

I agree that the little single purpose air fryers are stupid. We had one and got rid of it pretty quickly.

I also think OP that you should be asking this question about the Instant Pot. It's anything but instant and is huge and doesn't do any of its jobs well. I'd rather have a separate pressure cooker and slow cooker.

The single purpose air fryers work much better than the toaster-oven style ones. Instant Pots do a good job of pressure cooking, making rice, and making yogurt. They are not good at slow cooking.


I totally agree with this. We had a Cusinart Air Fryer toaster combo and it was fine, but when died recently I decided to go with a regular toaster oven and separate air fryer and I love it. Got the Ninja air fryer and it is great. I store it out of the way as it is too big to leave on our counter. I also like the stand alone because now that the toaster is just for toasting it stays so much cleaner.
