Same. In my late 40's and realized I have always been there for everyone rescuing them from their problems and when I need people the most no one has been there for me. Eye opening and I will never put anyone else first again and have removed myself from the sick drama that has been my life with them.
.

I’m 39 and recently realized that my mom and extended family look to me to solve their problems and help financially while no one even cares to send a birthday card or a text to me or my daughter. I’m done as well. Enough is enough.

Added weekly therapy when my dad died. Cut back to once every two weeks after a couple of years.

After covid I put Yoga in the mix. I'm much happier with yoga a few times a week. Gets me away from my older mom I care for.
