I do remember liking the Richmond campus too. It has a small lake in the middle which felt really romantic.
JMU might have good views, but the Interstate down the middle of campus is hard to unsee.

It is so nice. Have you traveled all the way to the lake? The wellness center? Tons of history of course, and well maintained grounds. Old growth trees. There is a relatively recent memorial/monument to the enslaved people who helped create/maintain the school (which was founded in thr 1600’’s). It is very well done. We are quite impressed overall.
