Cooper’s upper school will have Spanish.

We stuck it out but I'm not sure I would recommend the place.

But it’s worth we have a close family friend who has a kid who had an IEP at Deal and they were very complimentary. I acknowledge that every family necessarily has the same experience, but some families do fine.

bumping this thread. DC got a spot at latin for 5th grade. DC has dyslexia and ADHD and has an IEP at current DCPS. DC is being well served in current school with some push in and pull out services. I don't think DC would do well in a very academically rigorous environment. DC needs continued supports, thought I dont think DC's needs are extreme. Anyone have good or bad experience with their dyslexic and ADHD kid at latin? Was the school too hard? Did the kid get the services they needed?

We were also considering Lab School for our kid, which would be a nice fit, but $$$.

Glad to know that IEP supports at Latin are better, but PP said that their DC went from an IEP to a 504 plan to a straight A student. That sounds to me as if the disabilities were not that serious that such progress could be made. Could some of the other posters talk about whether their IEPs have continued in high school and if the support is what your DC needs?
