Subject: Re:What happened to the Russell Stover marshmallow eggs?
I experienced the same shrinkflation effects with the marshmallow Easter eggs in the carton. They are tinier than ever, yet I paid way more than I did last year for what we would consider normal size. Very disappointing and so non-consumer-friendly.

My mother-in-law gave my kids some in their Easter basket and now I’m concerned that she’s been hoarding them since the 1980s.

This year they are a huge disappointment. They are now less than half the original size and so small they no longer resemble an egg! Also now costs twice the price. The box no longer has the 'crate' inside to hold each chocolate egg. Instead they are just thrown into the box loose and banging against one another because the chocolate is broken or cracked on some when you open them. Just nix the box and sell them in a bag, since they no longer resemble eggs anyway.

Ugh they are NASTY. I would only give them to people I don't like.

Totally agree with all disappointed reviewers for all their reasons. Bought for decades! No more. Ratio of chocolate to marshmallow is off which might be the reason I didn't feel the chocolate was as good quality. Some things you can economize on - changing the size and shape of this formerly iconic treat was not one of them. I will check into the See's brand for Easter 2025.

They ruined the whole experience - the candy. of course and the box is no longer an egg carton. I'm out - after being a decades long fan.
