The Oakland campus is a minus (current students seem to be more than ready to transfer) and NE’s already considerable overcrowding likely to be worse when the kids they admitted to Oakland and London with the original expectation of keeping them there for 4 and 3 years instead a show up on Boston in Year 2 due to NE’s turnabout when it became clear no one was willing to commit to the satellite campuses for more than a year,
Between Brandeis and HW, whichever your child prefers.

They seem a bit of a mess right now and they didn’t want your kid enough to give them Boston. Cut them loose. GW is fine, but I’m guessing kid wants to spread his wings based on the NEU and Brandeis applications. Best of luck!

Why does OP have to troll the schools he wasn’t admitted to? Grow up, already.
Op- this is not fake. Why are you trolling my post? I want advice! They admitted 2k kids to Oakland- mine is one of them!
There is some weird person that has to comment on every post involving Northeastern. They keep assuming that it's always the same person posting when it clearly is not. Sorry you are dealing with this OP.
These programs are all so different. I can only offer that went to GW for CS and had a great time. I loved living in DC and got a good education.

That is actually exactly NOT how it works.
If OP actually had an Oakland offer, OP would not be asking here. There are closed groups that verify new members and reveal current members, so OP must be having a hard time. If you actually have an account/offer, you would ask questions in the closed groups, OP - not DCUM.
What closed groups are you talking about?
My DC has an offer which includes a semester in Oakland. My understanding is there are closed groups on Facebook to discuss this program. But since I don’t use Facebook, I am not privy to what is discussed there. I did not post this question here on DCUM, but am following because I’m interested to hear how others would assess the offer.
Op- and I don’t do Facebook either.
No one on DCUM is aware of facts re: Northeastern.
That is your answer.
If you came to hear about OP’s sour grapes, you are in the right place.
I’m the PP you responded to. I’ve toured the school twice, been to multiple info sessions and am on DCUM and know a little about the school, so I don’t understand your seemingly hostile response. I really liked the Boston campus and the programs there, as described, but don’t know much about the Oakland program. I’m not going to join FB just to find out more. It would’ve been nice to get information from DCUM. I’ll stick around in case someone does have something helpful to say.
