A real opposition party would be nice. Not one that agrees with 98% of the other.

The US needs a multiparty system. There is much less hate and division when there are multiple parties to choose from, that have to partner with each other to wield power. Politicians and voters can easily switch parties and vote for their true beliefs in that context.
