I loved the ending but episode 10 felt so fast to me. It felt like 10 minutes had gone by and I wanted more.
It is exactly what I have needed in a series and didn't even realize. I laughed a lot but the humor is subtle. I think for me half the laughs were coupled with terrible cringey feelings at how familiar the situations and personalities were. The writers did a good job at keeping the characters actions exactly how someone with their mentality would act so it was a bit deeper than a regular performance. The settings were so well done to match their personalities too. I loved that freaking house but felt cringe at how well the husband's wardrobe and personality matched it. Have mercy on us comfortable modern neutral texture loving people! The billionaire's dialogue and nobody really calling her out was funny. The little girl was hilarious at the end and helped soften the intensity. I am rewatching with DH because there were a lot of long threads woven in and its just nice scenery. I want to know how they got all those crazy crowns!

Finished the series. Episode 9 is great. Episode 10 surreal and an okay ending. Hope Netflix puts out more series like this one.

Anonymous wrote:This was a wild show. Without giving away spoilers, just wished it had ended differently. I also think it's a great reminder that you just don't know what someone is going through beyond the brief interaction you have with them. I thought this was a great breakout role for Ali Wong and loved steven yeun, Felt so much empathy toward him

I can't remember specifically; I already watched the whole series. It's no biggie, if there were funny parts in that epsidoe, they obviously weren't funny to you. lol Just find something else you like.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes. But from your impression of the first episode, it sounds like this just isn't your cup of tea. I have plenty of shows that were popular that I just couldn't get into. Schitt's Creek for example, tried to watch it twice. Could not get into it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Wanted to like it but couldn't get into the story, unlikable characters
I got bored during the first episode. So depressing. Characters are annoying.
I might try to get back into it to see if it picks up. Is there any humor to it, or is it all slow, dark, and a mix of despair and whining?
What parts were meant to be funny in the first episode?
