Quite the opposite. And I’m outwardly meek and mild… but also very picky.

Ugh, no, this is awful. "The lady will have..." Cringe.

I was raised with good manners, and I was taught we you indicate to the server to take the woman’s order first. I open doors for women, and often many people where the timing makes sense.

The only way I like this is if it's his favorite restaurant I've never been to, or some ethnic food he knows everything about and I don't... but in both those cases, I would have first asked him to order for me too.

No. That’s an affectation he learned on the internet. Weirdo. I’d take a recommendation on a plate if he’s been there before and it looks good.

But I do think it’s sweet when DH remembers my order the 1 time a month we get fast food. It’s so romantic that he knows I don’t want onions on my burger. Awwwwwww

Man here. Some women love it, some hate it. There have been at least 2 first dates where I was marked down by my date because I didn't order for her.

Assuming I already told him what I want, I like the sound of what I want in his voice.

+1. I also don’t bring any money with me when we go on trips together. We have been married for 15 years, have shared finances, and have taken turns as the breadwinner, so it’s not a financial thing. I just love the feeling that he’s in charge.

I have social anxiety and lucky for me, my husband knows this. We compromise because I HATE going out to eat in public. So, he orders for me (I told him what I want already) and lets me know where the bathroom is at too. It’s an anxiety thing…..Works for us.

No. It is controlling.

Not at all. That would be a massive turnoff.

I don’t play mind games. I would tell the guy on the first date that he could put the order for me if I wanted it.

No, I would find it offputting.

I also don't stand around waiting for a man to open the door, but if he gets there first without making a fuss about it, I'll thank him, of course.

I would hate this. I love being controlled in the bedroom but despise it outside. Thankfully DH gets that.

Yes, I would find it annoying if another ordered for me at a restaurant.
