I want to ask her and tell her to help yourself as well, so it sounds like a good deal to me...I am still hesitant since I never asked her to cook before though she volunteered couple of times to make something simple like mac-n-cheese.

I have no housekeeping duties in my contract but if I see the situation is getting dire, I can quietly do things and never mention them but I am sure MB noticing them anyway. The thing about being nanny, you get to see that your employers are more exhausted than I am most of the time, so it is not a big deal for me to take garbage out or put leftover dishes into dishwasher, even just to facilitate my own cleaning needs as I need empty sink to clean after baby. It is not a big deal for me but huge help for them since their tasks seem to be endless with 2 young kids and a pet. I am paid about $35 per hr but even if I were paid less I would do the same thing.
