+1 (5'6, 114lbs and almost always a 0 in US brands)

But I think the issue is all the other brands. I remember wearing 2 in Banana Republic in college (25 years ago), and now even the 0 can feel roomy there. I think most other brands have changed their sizing for vanity reasons, as the population "grows."

Yes, lots of issues with the aligns lately. I should not have near-immediate pilling and even safe colors are so thin that they are essentially indecent to wear in public/public class. Obviously they arre having quality control issues because it is only the last year or two this has been an issue. At their price point there is zero excuse. I think LLL aligns run a smidge small but most of the fabrics are quite stretchy so not an issue.

Tbh, I switched to Arcteryx (runs large) and 2xu (runs very small). Aligns are ok for at home or just yoga practice.

Everyone I know has to size UP at least 2 sizes

I don't know what to tell you. I, a dress size 14, went in and walked out with size 10. And the "educator" was not surprised at all as I kept sizing down until they finally fit.

But Align is not high-compression. It's designed for yoga and other low-impact exercise. It's very soft to the touch but doesn't really hold you in. So I think people size down because they actually want a higher compression item, especially in a high rise legging.

For Align I don't size down but I wear my regular size (I don't size up). I like that it's not as compressive and therefore more comfortable.

There's no way you could 'size down' on Aligns without them becoming see-through (at least for the colors and patterns I've tried on). I'm 5'7" and currently 135 and wear a 6 or 8 in bottoms and tanks, 8 or 10 in long-sleeve tops.

I find the bottoms are pretty true to size, tops I usually size up one size (I’m a 4 or 6 in most brands)

The only item I know people size down is a pair of shorts that are meant to fit baggy but people wear tight.

I definitely have to size up. 5’4, 125. Regularly wear a 0 or 2, but wear a 4 or 6 in Lulu bottoms, 6 or 8 in tops.

But I also hate Lululemon stuff. It never fits quite right and wears out really fast (see through, pilling, stretched out) unless you treat it like a high maintenance sports car. No thanks. Try Vuori or Athleta or Sweaty Betty, OP.

I get size S or 4 and I find lululemon to be on the tighter side. Maybe they are smaller at the small sizes and bigger at the big sizes.
