Yes. It bounced between about 18 and 23 on most rankings. The SFS is the best in the country and has a low single digit admit rate.
Gtown has not been below rank of 20 since 1994.

It is known for being a top 25 school.
Get it?

More name recognition than Notre Dame? I doubt it.
Notre Dame is a great school too, which also has more name recognition than its rank in large part due to football.
Notre Dame would also help itself with ED and ED2, especially since it really is #1, 2, or 3 for so many who want a great midwestern school.
Notre Dame really does have limited long-term upside given its location though.

Anonymous wrote:Georgetown already has the reputation and name recognition of a top 15 school. That isn't changing and has never been tied to endowment.
Once they start an ED and ED2 program, they'll be able to improve their student stats pretty quickly too (Chicago did this well). ED2 would be especially powerful for Georgetown.
Being a Catholic school is a positive for some people and Georgetown's more liberal environment make it far different than say Notre Dame in that regard as a negative for others (almost a win-win for Georgetown there).

Georgetown has never been top 15. See comment above.
