Which you would know if you were actually from VA.

Yes, until people finally understand the the problem with public education is democratic leadership on the teacher’s union payroll carrying out the poor educational policies driven by the unions, all students, but especially special needs students will suffer.
Teacher unions aren’t a thing (yet) in VA, MAGA fool. Go back to your hole.
You may want to let the Virginia Education Association know that.
"Established in 1863, VEA is a Union dedicated to advancing quality instruction and curriculum, adequate funding, and excellent working conditions for Virginia public employees."

If you actually lived in VA you’d realize they have no power. They aren’t a thing here. Yet.
Go back to you hole, MAGA trash.
Legislative priorities and legislative score card:https://www.veanea.org/take-action/legislation-policy/
They have over 40K members and they have over $20 million in the bank.
They've been in existence since 1863.
VEA, a self proclaimed union, does a ton for teachers and education professionals. You shouldn't demean their efforts.
Compare to real teacher unions in other states.
VA doesn’t have any “teacher unions” that have power to drive education policies. Unfortunately.
Which the MAGA trolls would know if they lived in VA.
Please stop demeaning VA educators and their well organized union.

Maybe if public schools didn't treat special education like a leper colony and then waste big $$$ on lawyers to fight parents then they'd be less likely to have the feds breathing down their neck.
The lawyers are cheaper than meeting an impossible federal mandate. Maybe if every UMC parent whose kid can't behave didn't rush out and get a diagnosis and an IEP the resources available could go to the kids who need them

Anyone know what this means for APS? Arlington family made a complaint.

This could be a really big deal. After the Fairfax resolution, DOE has been clear they are looking at other Virginia districts for failures during pandemic.
They really need to look at ACPS, too.
