There are very few flexible jobs that a college student can get that also makes enough to live and pay for school. I worked my tail off supporting myself and paying for college and I’m very proud of that. I just think this incredibly privileged thread is hilarious. The restaurant people are too rough for OPs delicate daughter, who doesn’t even need to work. If she really truly doesn’t need money she should do other activities that will set herself up for getting a job after graduation.

Don't you wish your younger self had better options? Its our responsibility as mothers, teachers, mentors to save young girls and women from what we had to face and could've been avoided. That's the only way for womankind to experience progress.

Loved my restaurant jobs on college, and truly believe every human being on the planet should be required to do so for 6 months. Might make us allaittle bit more compassionate.

But for your dd, campus gym, anything from checking in students to lifeguarding to refereeing intermural and club games

Medical assistant and medical scribe also can be shift or part time jobs. Often provide free on job training.

Pharmacies and banks get held up for drugs and money. But other than that, working as a pharmacy tech or bank teller is pretty pleasant. The schedule might not work with college classes though. I have heard that Wegmans, Harris teeter, and Costco are good places to work. Do you think she could learn to drive a forklift? If so, Costco pays well for that. A CNA or phlebotomy certification could also open up some doors. Babysitting, petsitting, and lawn mowing also might work with her schedule.

CNA, which is a certified nursing assistant. She could work in a nursing home part time.

Starbucks. They pay well and it's a good environment.

My son was working at a restaurant and hated the environment as well. He now works at Starbucks and is happy.

Get a pharmacy tech certification. They give shifts and pharmacies are quite safe.
