You have a choice in the DMV. You don’t have a choice in many rural area where they might only be one pharmacy in a 25 mile radius.

I haven't set foot in a Walgreens since I found out that they allow any employee to refuse to sell anything they deem immoral, from condoms to birth control, and that they aren't even required to hand it off to another employee. With so many other choices, including the local grocery store, I can't see the need for Walgreens in this area in the first place.

Walgreens is considerably more expensive than CVS and Walmart is less expensive than CVS for normal OTC medical needs. Frankly, I don't understand how Walgreens stays in business.

I'm fine with 1 in 50 women dying over their choice to have ectopic pregnancies. If you don't want to deal with that possibility, don't get pregnant. I don't care if you have children that already exist. Also don't get raped and don't have a miscarriage. How hard it that?

This makes me so happy. So proud to shop at Walgreens.

I feel like we have the illusion of choice here. I am too lazy to Google this right now but I’m pretty sure that CVS has a pretty bad record surrounding women’s rights; I feel we went through this whole rigamarole surrounding the morning after pill, too, and pharmacists too high on their supply to bother to do their job and dispense meds they “disagreed with.” (Never once heard of them refusing to dispense ED meds, not once).

Sweetie— I had an ectopic pregnancy that was caught very early— 5-6 weeks. I was prescribed this medication to take at home with a list of call emergency ifs. I had a heavy, painful period, and was rechecked by the OB a few days later. Hospital was not involved. Which is why this medication is important. I avoided surgery and saved the tube.

Walgreens won't distribute abortion pills in states where Republican officials have threatened legal action — including some places where abortion is still legal and available

The proper response would be for blue states to allow consumers to sue large pharmacies who don’t carry it. Make the damages statutory large and include attorney fees
