Cruz is being rational in his situation. I keep saying this, but Republicans have nothing to run for, they can only run against. They have to have enemies, they have to believe they are the victims. If Cruz wants to get reelected, he has to make sure his constituents are afraid of their own shadows. You might think that in the middle of the Texas desert you might be safe, but you never know when an airliner flown by a transgender pilot might crash into you.
Hey, you democrats are all about science.
Let's talk about pilots or air traffic controllers of anyone else that has many lives depending on them...
What is the suicide rate of transgenders vs. those that aren't?
Interesting argument. You make a group of people's lives so miserable that they commit suicide in large numbers and then you justify making them even more miserable because they commit suicide in large numbers. This Republican science!
Or maybe it's a mental issue and having a large number of people's lives dependent on that is bad judgement. They might also be the source of their own misery.
Yet you blame someone else. If a transgender has regrets after their operations and they often do, why is that someone else's fault?
Why should they be in a position of high trust?
What do regrets have to do with this situation? Do you have evidence that those who have transitioned have regrets in large numbers? All available studies suggest just the opposite. Maybe you should not get a job on which people's live depends because you seem to have your own bad judgement?
Do you regret being so closed-minded that you blame others for your own fears and lack of understanding?
There is no rational basis for being afraid of transgender pilots. Cruz says the things he does to appeal to people like you. As I said, he is not being irrational because clearly people like you exist.
NP. If ONE teenager maims their body permanently at the hands of what are supposed to be trained adults, and regrets it, I would consider that the worst kind of bad judgment.
But all the kids who commit suicide because of the hate towards transgender folks you completely dismiss. If we could actually butt out of this whole debate and let the kid, their family, and their doctor handle the situation it probably would help. As it is now, this whole debate involves people who don’t know any transgender people or have had any experience with this topic. You don’t have to live with other people’s decisions so butt out.

You look at that photo and probably see two men happily enjoying their newborn babies. To you, it represents something beautiful.
To the MAGA mind, however that is an affront to traditional values. Those men obviously have not given birth so why are they appropriating this time-honored tradition of new mothers posing with their newborns? They are not just tarnishing this sacred moment, they are rubbing it in the faces of the virtuous. They may as well be peeing on a crucifix. They are forcing their violation of norms down the throats of everyone who values truth, justice, and the American way, and the MAGAs are not going to take it anymore. These two soy boys can take their virtue signaling elsewhere!
In Jesse's mind, he is not being mean, but reacting understandably to a provocation. Or, more accurately, Jesse probably couldn't care less, but he thinks this is what his fans expect.

I don’t’ dismiss it. I just don’t blame it on hate. I think there are psychological aspects at play, and were there before gender confusion. Only a small portion of the population are actually transgender. A much larger part are either homosexuals in denial and even larger, societal pressure on psychologically vulnerable parts of the population
Doctors are being threatened professionally now for not immediately jumping on the bandwagon. This reminds me of the demonization of psychiatrists who choose to treat bulimia and anorexia with OCD in combination with therapy. It’s actually very effective but those whose status depends on activism surrounding these issues balk, to the detriment of those suffering.
Then you are closing your eyes, plugging your ears and going “la la la la” and no one should listen to you.
This happened in my town on Monday. https://www.startribune.com/two-charged-in-brutal-attack-of-transgender-woman-at-lake-street-light-rail-station/600255365/

Mostly right. You can use the term "cultural appropriation" as well.
But you missed the heart of the matter here, and that is two homosexual men bought children and will be able to really do anything they want with them. The picture basically shows that they are props at best. Anyone not "educated" out of their ability to observe the world as it is, shudders at the fate of these children when they see images like this.

I'm honestly starting to wonder if conservatism is a form of mental illness.
As if gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs ever had anything to do with learning how to fly a plane. I mean, maybe if you were a wacky flat earther evangelical who didn't believe in the theory of gravity (reference to RW NJs trying to ban teaching of "scientific theories" or flat earth creationists who didn't believe the earth was truly a spheroid, you might have a problem, but otherwise it has nothing to do with anything.
