Complex carbs good. Simple carbs bad.

Healthy natural carbs are not bad for you and not addictive - it is processed refined carbs that your body is not evolved to tolerate well and which set the stage for ‘addictive’ overeating, insulin resistance/metabolic disorder, obesity, T2 diabetes and potentially T3 diabetes/Alzheimer’s.

The healthiest blue zone/Mediterranean diets contain healthy whole grains in proper proportion to healthy fats and proteins. Eating healthy carbs always accompanied by a some fat and protein is ideal for maintaining stable blood glucose levels and regulating hunger naturally.

They are not. And what is wrong with carbs? Am I addicted to my apples and pears? Ridiculous. Am I addicted to peas and carrots?
Carbs are necessary for most humans, don't listen to crazies.
If you are snacking on Potatoe chips, then you are more likely having an issue with processed carbs.

For now, I have swore off most carbs, although occaisionally will go to town on one sweet potato for myself (while family eats white potatoes).

If the only carb I ever ate was an occasional sweet potato, I would probably weigh <100 pounds. The one time I did a low carb diet (after my second baby), I lost 10+ pounds in 4 weeks and didn't have the energy to exercise. My body absolutely did not get used to it.

I don't really eat sweets, processed carb-y snacks, and most baked goods but I certainly eat potatoes, whole grain breads, oats, rice, regular pasta, pizza, etc. and have no trouble maintaining a healthy weight in middle age.
