Why couldn’t they make that statement within a day or so of her departure? It’s not like it spills any details. At least it would have confirmed it’s not her own health issue.
Are you serious? They may not have known prognosis, etc. Do you know how stressful/overwhelming it is to deal with something like this as a normal citizen? You at least get the gift of privacy. Its easy for you to judge from the comfort of your screen.

This is a show where hosts have done colonoscopies, mammograms, etc. on air and they regularly disclose issues in real time.

But I didn’t find time to vague-book in an effort to Garner not only sympathy but also generate media attention.
The statement released today could have easily been shared within a day or so of her departure. It says nothing about who it is or what the issue is.

Vague social media posts are really obnoxious.
If her mother were ailing, I think a statement to that effect would have been released.
I think she’s either sick and going through testing or treatment, or one of her kids is. That might warrant the privacy: waiting for a diagnosis (biopsy results?).
She basically shares everything though, so it’s strange that a statement hasn’t been released. Maybe she’s a wreck and can’t bring herself to?
If she’s sitting on news for a big public (paid?) release, then that’s gross.
