I posted right above you and our lives must be identical!!! My husband and I make about 200k and are very comfortable, with no true financial concerns, because we use public schools and live in a relatively modest house. My brother makes…. Many millions a year. And it’s a comfort, honestly, not a cause for resentment.

He’s been working since he was 12 and rode his bike to mow lawns all over the neighborhood. He’s now a millionaire. I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Not at all, I’m thrilled, because they give me nice gifts and let me use their vacation homes and when we go out to dinner with them, they pick out some fantastic wine!

Also I love my brother and know he would use his money to help my kids (or me) in a heartbeat if needed for a medical emergency. I’m incredibly grateful for his generosity. Why would I be jealous! He is amazing, but, he chose a life of much harder work than I did and is reaping the benefits.

That is so nice. We helped my parents to some extent - my siblings lived near by and were able to be more hands on. We were able to afford it, even more easily now and I was delighted we were able to do it. I know one of my siblings, who is single, really appreciated not needing to pony up.

Yes, I'm envious. I can be honest, lol. It is what it is though. We have a close relationship and that's what matters.
