This! Good grades and Alabama can be more affordable than many in-state flagships. If your kid wants greek life, football/basketball environment then it can be a good affordable big school experience

And very photogenic sorority girls
yeah that's why to pick a college...then again it's Alabama...

I recall a threat on UNC that discussed posters DCs regularly heard the N-word mentioned. Honestly shocking. Not to be antagonistic but perhaps the #s a police to NE are actually sensible.

But probably not to those who subscribe to TikTok.
My junior daughter is on tik tok a lot, but Bama Rush was a huge negative for her. Minimal or zero Greek presence is one of her top college criteria.
I am curious whether you have enough self-awareness to realize that’s deviant of normal behavior, right? That’s highly unusual that going out of your way to not have Greek life would actually be a criterion. And yet you say it like you think it’s a virtue or something.
It's a fairly common criterion among top students.

And sane Covid policies, and generally fun and spirited people. And a hospitality culture -- my DS goes to many planned sit-down dinners and actual dances where couples dance.
He goes to school in Tennessee and is from the District. And since I know someone is going to snark, he would describe himself as a right-center moderate, never Trumper.

Do you remember the thread recently where people talked about their daughters being traumatized by the rush process?
My daughter is in recovery from anorexia and still struggles a bit with body dysmorphia. She doesn’t need a freshman hall full of girls who are rushing.
Plenty of colleges, for example Jesuit colleges, don’t have any Greek system at all. Or are you saying that is deviant??
