Push for an ultrasound as soon as your RE feels is reasonable, OP. If it is ectopic, you want to know that immediately so you have options.
Thank you. I actually had a radiology ultrasound done yesterday but they couldn’t see anything anywhere - not all that surprising, it’s early. After today they told me to come back in a week (at which point I will be 6 weeks) for an ultrasound - does that sound reasonable or should I be pushing to get back in sooner (…and if so, when?)
Are you working with an RE, OP? Talk to your RE. Mine wanted me to do an ultrasound after my beta reached a certain threshold (been a few years and I don't remember exactly what that number was), which occurred prior to 6w. He sad that, at that beta number, something should be visible if it was indeed an intrauterine pregnancy. For me, that was 5w5d. I received my first methotrexate shot at the same appointment (ultrasound was done in RE's office...this was with SG).
