Subject: Help me buy my niece earrings?
Unless you know how her ears are I’d recommend gold or titanium posts. I got DD bony levy gold Huggies hoops from Nordstrom after several failed stud pairs. Her ears kept getting infected and needed to “breathe”

OP here with an update: I'm returning the baby sized ones I got. I went to Macy's and looked at everything and upped my budget to $65 and got ladybug earrings that were $200 on sale for $65 and got a gift receipt in case she doesn't like them.

Ugh, don't do the Maison Miru, they are such a pain in the butt to get in and out. My DH had to take one of mine off with pliers. The only people using those earrings should be piercing shops.

I bought my DD hundreds of dollars in earrings in anticipation of the day we could change her starter earrings only to find out she has an allergy (we had Girl's Crew, Macy's, and Amazon all either SS, plated, or 14k gold). Blomdahl's might be a safe choice just in case. They have lots of options under $50.

If she wants to change often, Claire’s is fine if you don’t have sensitive skin in your family. If she ia happy to leave the same earrings in for weeks or months, look for “nap earrings” or flat back earrings. You’ll need to help her put them in - my husband does mine for me.

I am OP and just opened the box of In Season earrings and they are TINY too! Like, for a small baby sized tiny. I am going to have to give them to someone else (I threw away the packaging) and re-buy earrings for teens and hope they're an appropriate size for my niece. It's too bad, because they are otherwise very cute. But I need a magnifying glass to see them.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! So, I wouldn't describe myself as fancy, but I am picky about the earrings I buy for my girls because they tend to wear them for weeks and I don't want the cheap earrings that will tarnish if exposed to water. Here is the pair that my older wears pretty much constantly:

They look nothing like the picture. They are essentially a small sparkly crystal ball and the gold ball screws on in the back. They're really nice and I would recommend them.
Me again - she also has the tiny 14K hoops from Quince - they look very posh.
