Boston, Boston - or a suburb? There are plenty of great non chains, just need a specific area and neighborhood for suggestions.

But it's really small to me so we can get food from Cambridge or Brookline too.


Boston has pretty bad traffic It’s like saying your kid is playing at American but you’ll get food from Brookland.

Just to be clear - I was suggesting that you could Google to find restaurants in Boston to cater a fajita/taco buffet or Mediterranean (kabobs, etc.).


Yes I understand not ever town has great option like Boston.

Totally worth it to us. Our kids all played D3 at colleges they loved and are now either college seniors with grad school acceptances in hand, or in grad school or doing post-grad training in law and medicine. And, BTW, we didn't mind joining with other parents to provide team dinners when the college picked up the tab for the team to fly to CA or FL for pre-season competition or NCAA tournaments.

How much are you expected to spend each season? What happens if you can't afford to contribute after paying D3 tuition prices?


No mandatory or expected contribution. If you want to sponsor a team dinner you can, but we've never had any pressure to do that at all. Most team meals have been paid for by the college, but we've also joined with other parents from our kid's class to have a "Seniors' Treat for Breakfast" or other similar meal.

I am PP. I was in charge of planning meals for two teams, these were the most popular. I am not familiar with Boston restaurants, but when the teams travelled I was always able to google restaurants that catered to find these options.
