St Andrew's has parents that allow their kids and their friends to drinks at their house, but they pretend it doesn't happen.

As a former private school lifer OP, this is not surprising to me. I was a poor scholarship nerd, so wasn't offered free drugs. I would not send my kids to most private high schools for this reason alone.

Is this the school that had an overdose /death last year? So sad. And they do do something- they charge a lot of money for the shed.

You decide whether you think the school is safe for your child.
All schools have drugs. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
If your kid can not go in a bathroom safely I'd rethink that school.

Fwiw, I did coke when at private school in the late 80s. No one reported it, but I wish they would have; I was a stupid, stupid kid who thought they could get away with anything. Wasted a good many years being an idiot.
Same here. At a “so-called elite” boarding school. These kids likely aren’t doing coke because they are happy (I sure wasn’t). Try to bring it to the attention of school leaders.
Anonymous wrote:I'd report it anonymously, from a public computer and junk email address, and tell them if they don't do something like quietly take the door off the bathrooms and let students know teachers may enter at any time, there might be a leak of whats going on and that's bad PR. Something should be done. You don't pay $$ to send your kid to a coke party for school. They can do that at home.

Of course I’ve heard about drugs in high school. In fact a friend told me her daughter has routinely smelled weed in the bathrooms at AHC, but I guess I’m still stunned. Id never expect this sort of activity INSIDE THE SCHOOL. I’m thinking why am I paying private school tuition for this? (Please save the comments about the value of private school). DC told me the admin isn’t allowed into student bathrooms so no way the kids can get caught. And they go to class high but use colored contacts to disguise their eyes. Of course this is a specific group. Is this common in small area privates? DC went to a private middle school and there weren’t any drugs or smoking or vaping—nothing. Wondering what to do (of course DC swore me to secrecy).
Lol are you an adult or your kids best friend? Go complain to the school and demand action!
No so it anonymously if you must. The consequences for your kid will be terrible.
