Now I'm trying to move up to 15mg and Walmart says no one can use their savings card with out a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis after the first of this year (despite my card not saying this, I got it before that was a requirement and it doesn't expire till 12/23). They send a prior authorization to my doctor because I do have some insurance coverage, but that's gone nowhere thus far and I don't have a lot of faith that it will get covered even with a PA. I think they will require me to do step therapy at best ... which I would do if needed.

I'm just at a loss of how to get this now ... paying $1000+ a month is not realistic for me. Anyone else trouble shooting this as well right now and have advice? I'm super frustrated by it all. I get that the demand is HUGE, but some of us truly do need this for weight loss for our health. I want to lose at least another 85 lbs, so I'm not taking this for pure vanity purposes. I wish they'd maybe but a BMI minimum on this to start vs completely trying to restrict it for weight loss only.

People like you are why I am having trouble getting supply. I actually have diabetes. You apparently do not. This medicine is not for you. I hope you are not allowed to get it without paying through the nose and I make no apologies for that.

Where do you live that you’re having trouble getting meds? I’ve been taking Ozempic since the spring (prediabetic diagnosis) and haven’t missed a dose. No issues getting it here in DC.

My endocrinologist just moved me to Ozempic 2 mg and my local Walgreens in Loudoun County hasn't been able to get it for several weeks. I called around to another pharmacy and found stock but it's kind of a hassle to get now.

I have Cigna and am obese but not diabetic. I can’t get either covered unfortunately.

Wegovy is the brand Ozemipic uses for weight loss.

Mounjaro isn’t insulin. And there are many options. You should want people to avoid getting diabetes in the first place.

I stretch to 10 because I'm losing too fast. By day 6 I can stomach red meat again too, which I need a little of to eat since I battle anemia. To answer your specific question, I am not starving, but I am hungrier, however I still can't eat too much at one time. I think 10 days is ideal really.

Thank you so much. I’m going to give it a go. $900 a month at my local Giant but if I do 3 pens a month I think I can swing it.

I’m 240 lbs by the way so hopefully this will work quickly.

Do you have Type2 diabetes?

DP. If you downloaded the savings card before 11/10 (I believe) you don’t need a T2D code.

Op here. You didn’t need it to download the card, correct. My issue now is since my insurance covers nothing, I can’t use my card. That’s new as of the first of the year apparently.

The reason I can use the card is because my insurance won't cover it. The insurance denies it and then they charge me using the savings card. I just refilled this week at CVS with no problem. My provider told me it was likely going to be rejected after 1/1 but that wasn't the case.

Same here. $25 for me at Walmart. $25 for DH at CVS.

Same for me! I am on a small business health plan and my insurance has no coverage for Mounjaro. I just filled yesterday for $25 with my savings card from September.

Hoping to make it to all 12 fills through June! 🤞🏼

I downloaded my savings card in September and it did not require an attestation of diabetes
