It’s important to note that this “reform” has been cheered on by local reporters who are supposed to be neutral but cannot seem to get their ideology out of the way of their reporting.

This is not about guns honey, if you think you can remove every gun from every criminal or person who wants to do something like this, you are insane. Look at all the school shootings in gun free zones. This is so much bigger than guns, it's a societal, cultural problem that is becoming the norm. Less policing and presence has had an obvious negative impact on the quality of life in this city.

Bowser is talking veto. I think that's the right move. Violent crime and gun crime needs to be deterred.

No, they actually haven’t. Even homogenous Japan, with a long history of denying weapons to anyone but the ruling class, has firearm crime. England has firearm crime despite weapon control laws that border on the preposterous — going after kitchen scissors. France has very strict weapon laws, and they did nothing to prevent terrorist attacks with machine guns and bombs.

How about educating yourself? Felons already prohibited from possessing firearms. It is a federal offense.
