He won't agree OP and you can't convince him. You (or one of your siblings) needs to present the move as a fait accompli. I'm lucky to have a sibling who did this. It was really hard since it meant selling our family home where my dad had lived for the past 40 years. But as soon as he got to his CCRC, it was clear to me that we should have done it sooner. He was so much happier to be part of a community and less stressed because there were so many services. In retrospect I realize it must have been terrifying for him to feel his capabilities erode and be all alone. We needed to hire supports after about a year to enable him to stay in the independent living section, but it was worth it while he was happy and reasonably healthy. Then when there was a crisis, it was a smooth transfer to memory care and then skilled nursing. A good CCRC is worth every penny. Good luck.
