Thought "oh that color combo is exactly what I need for an upcoming trip with lots of walking".
Imagine my shock to google "sneaker with star logo" and find out (a) they are $600 (WTAF??); (b) they are viewed (at least on DCUM) as tacky nouveau riche; and (c) they are now out of style. And here I was thinking that dropping $150 on a pair of Vajes on sale was an extravagant purchase . . .
Can I just say that I rarely wear stupidly expensive things, but when I do there are few things more irritating than someone who asks about them and then makes a face (I don’t know if you did). Or worse, asks how much they cost or where I bought them and then makes a face about that.
If you’re going to interrupt a stranger to ask an intrusive question, make sure to keep your reaction to yourself. I’m sure OP did, this is just a PSA.
