So, your sister has turned cooking into a Mommy War. She's decided that what she does is so superior and what you do is so inferior that she has to be condescending about it and make it into a argument.

Why do so many women look for more opportunities to just and tear down other women for the decisions that they make? It's ridiculous and so is making a distinction between cooking and feeding your family.

Agree. If I heat a frozen lean cuisine for lunch I don't think of it as cooking my lunch. Making a sandwich is making a sandwich, not cooking. But if I make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, even if it's boxed pasta, jarred sauce and frozen meatballs I'm cooking. Not from scratch, it's all prepared foods being assembled into a larger meal but it is being cooked.

She's being pretentious trying to take ownership of a word to make herself feel better about something.

In self-defense, I'm a wonderful cook. Do big elaborate dinners. Make Southern classics like my grandmother did. I've mastered the sous vide and lamb. Not duck though.

I think the quick meals you listed are cooking. Heating up a tray of chicken nuggets isn't cooking. I also think your sister is being a pain.

I agree with this. Also, your sister is wrong, in that those meals are markedly better than fast food.
