In order:

P&P - most accessible
Persuasion - short, good if you got married on the later side
Emma - long, good if you like mysteries
Mansfield Park - long, hero and heroine are boring but the Crawford siblings are awesome
Northanger Abbey - not bad, but somewhat immature
S&S - melodramatic

Austen isn’t really my cup of tea, but I have a soft spot for Persuasion.

I have read it but a while ago! Did you like it? I remember finding a couple characters very frustrating.

That's the point! Most of her characters are a pain in the ass in some way. The payoff of her books is when the characters find true love despite being a PITA!

Even the Ang Lee Sense and Sensibility? That was so well done.

I loved that film. His direction and Emma Thomason’s script were both close to perfect, I thought.

I think Sense and Sensibility is my favorite.

Wow so much love for persuasion! The only two I really love are Pride and Prejudice (fav) and Emma.

Agree with other that Persuasion is the best one. Though I actually have a soft spot for Mansfield Park and I kind of adore Emma for her deep flaws and sometimes lack of self-awareness. It's easy for me to see why that one got adapted for Clueless. I also like the Gwyneth Paltrow version. The more recent film was to slow with its pacing, and I think poorly cast, though I like Anna Taylor-Joy in Queen's Gambit.
