Neither did C or T
It is not a happy story, they do not get along or even like each other
Bio parents still grieve a lot and have not been able to rebuild their lives
I used to think adoption was to save the life of the bio mom, so she could go to college and have the ability to go out, travel, hang out with friends without being burdened by a baby she cannot afford, but with them it crushed them

she was the only one who didn’t have a string of additional kids with different dads
True. But she became a porn star!
Aside from that, she treated her parents terribly. I have not seen such an entitled, mean, nasty brat who was also sooo needy. How is she your favorite, just how?

That is not such a pretty story. I had high hopes for them
She suffers from depression, neither has been able to get over the loss or start a new life
The adoptive parents seem a little cold, they are being manipulated with visitation that is promised and then cancelled
Ironically they could have kept their baby and been ok
Adoption does not always end in a beautiful fairy story
I do find their story still very heartbreaking for them.

I doubt the adoptive parents had any idea the circus this show would bring. I can very much see myself being welcoming to regular visitation / relationship normally and then very very guarded and protective of a child when the visitation came with decades long reality tv side show of drama. who wouldn't want to protect their child from that. the parents (i forget their names) could easily drop out of the show any time and live a private life and most likely have more access

Really? They continue to rehash the adoption story even though they know it continues to separate them from their adopted daughter. The adoptive parents are clear they don’t want their daughter in the spotlight. But C and T value their paycheck more than the open adoption, so the door on their relationship with their biological daughter closes…and that gives them more to rehash and talk about.
Was C a good mom when she had a visit with her daughter but was so late making her a memory book, she missed out on time with her?
The best thing the two could do would be to get off the show and focus just on their family and deck opening a real bond with their biological daughter. Instead of faked scenes with an adoption counselor who hasn’t been in an active adoption counselor role in this case, for more than a decade.
