First rule of fight club, don’t talk about fight club…. The ACPS / Alexandria Democratic establishment seem to following this mantra to the letter.
Perfect summary except that you forgot to include parents in that list.
Parents have a problem with a rape cover up at Minnie Howard. Why would they show up because of a fight?
Correction: ACPS parents didn't have a problem with a rape cover up
Because she was Hispnac. Underneath it all, the rich white moms are racist af.
I can promise you that if the girl raped had been fom Rosemont, the national guard would have been called in.
Absolutely accurate! The reason there is no apparent outcry from parents is that white parents believe that these are issues that won’t touch their kids bc they are white and they don’t associate with “those kind of kids”
When non white parents complain they are placated and even when they do speak up people say oh that’s terrible and yet do nothing
But yes as soon as something happens to a white kid the outcry will be massive and changes immediate. Sad but true
These comments are absolutely, rediculous, hateful and false. Every parent I know is angry about what happened. Why wouldn't they be? The city and high school covered it up. There was outcry. The superintendent is now gone. No one wants that to happen to a child. Also I had idea the color of the victims skin. Why does this matter. PP You are just awful.
I'm not sure if you're referencing the rape cover up or the recent fight(s) or the murder at Bradlee but there wasn't an outcry. One parent showed up to the school board meeting after the rape cover up was exposed. Zero parents showed up at the school board meeting last week. While I hope parents show up at the next meeting this week, I doubt it.
Posting something on social media or tut tutting at pick up isn't an outcry. I don't doubt that people were upset with any of the horrific events because that would make them absolute monsters. But there wasn't an outcry. To date, not a single PTA has even commented on any of this.
I do wonder what it will take to get parents to take some sort of action.

I went to an urban public school. Guess how many fights in my four years of HS? One. One fight. And it was stupid too.

that's just what they say to anyone who they view as a threat to the establishment. And yes, asking questions and requesting information is a threat. They don't have actual arguments so they throw around the racist and white supremacist tags so much that it's a joke. The irony is that many of the people and groups who do this (PTAC, Wilson's "mom mafia" come immediately to mind) exploit a systemically racist school system to benefit their kids. I've come to believe that's why they protect this broken system. They benefit from it. After what I've watched over the years...it's the logical conclusion.
When something is so broken but people fight changing it...they are benefiting in some way.
