Take some Tylenol or Advil before the procedure. For me they are very painful, but a mammogram saved my life by early detection of BC. So I will gladly suffer through something I do dread and find super painful. Good luck!!

In Maryland, you don’t need a doctor’s order. Not sure about DC/VA.

I go to Washington Radiology in fairfax and they put some tray thing in to help with my smaller breasts.

I have small VERY dense breasts. My mamos are very uncomfortable but 100% worth it.

It's the other way around.


Correct. And on small-bodied people this does not tend to lessen with age, which it does on larger people.

This. You will get used to it (I have had them for 20 years). It is so worth it.

I would rather get a mammogram than have my teeth cleaned. This can save your life.


Having your teeth cleaned can also save your life. Periodontal disease has been linked to RA and pancreatic cancer.
