We tuned in to watch a friend perform and were surprised how everything was Christmas themed (and ads). So not appropriate for Thanksgiving. Guess I am a “Scrouge” 😁!

So, no actual religion is being represented, is the point. The point of the parade is to usher in the Christmas shopping season which is when department make a huge percentage of their profits for the year. I also am not clear what you you think should happen here? Are you suggesting that there should be a Menorah float and a Quran float?

Macy’s is hardly flush with money these days. They are doing what they need to do to make it make financial sense.

Not true at all. And the Mavy’s parade used to be about tge parade, not Broadway shows and ads for Christmas stuff to buy

My child has performed at the parade in past years. They have to prerecord a track and then they are also expected to sing throughout the parade.

Jimmy Fallon was the worst. If he's going to lipsync, he should at least do a good job on the recording. Even with The Roots it stank. Trying desperately to pen a Christmas song to retire on maybe? Try a bit harder.
