Definitely call ahead and ask. I would hope that someone in the massage space is familiar with psoriasis but I understand your fear and I'm sorry. If they don't have robes that fit, definitely bring your own. Your friends will be there and love you so don't worry they have your back!

The bottom line is that the people who work at a spa:
1) don’t care
2) have seen it/worse before
3) want very much to accommodate you, because they are nice and work for tips
4) don’t care
You are not abnormally large. They have been here before. They have a bigger robe or will figure something else out. Or wear your clothes!
They will give you a clothed massage. Or through a sheet. Or whatever. They have a solution and want you to have the service if possible. You know how you are not wigged out by picking up your dog’s poop or cleaning your baby’s diaper? We’re all dog poop and baby diapers to spa employees. They just don’t care and don’t notice it. They’re like nurses. Iron clad. As long as you’re being respectful and transparent, you’re fine.
That said you don’t have to do any services to enjoy a “spa day” with your friends. Book the whirlpool or just read by the pool. Get a manicure. Or nothing! Honestly if you said “I’m just here to hang with my friends and I want to read by the pool” I bet they would say yes.
OP this is this PP and I have one more thing. I always wear a bra and panties if not a swimsuit under my robe. It’s not a problem and I just feel more comfortable in a robe. They’ll give you plenty of time to undress for a massage and always knock anyway before they come in. You don’t need to be speed naked.

Yay! I'm the PP who suggested Tremfya as medication for your skin condition. I had patches of psoriosis all over my back, shins, forearms, scalp and hairline. I could never wear dark colored tops. No shorts or shortsleeves. Four months after starting the medication I could wear short sleeves. Total game changer. Happy to answer any questions you have - but I also posted a thread in the Health forum when I started this and was really nervous if you want to read that.

Spas have lots of things other than massage. Can you check their offerings? I would avoid services that involve touching areas of your skin that are flared up or flaking. As far as the robe, you might not need a robe, depending on what services you use. You can check sizes by phone or in person.
