Today, is my anniversary. Husband had the day off. I’m cooking tomorrow and we had nice dinner reservations tonight. Luckily only one guest coming over.
What did he do? He started work on the master bedroom closet renovation. Why today of all days? Only his brain knows the answer. I don’t even have a bed to sleep on. I canceled reservations and I’m moping on the swing set.
Just a vent and commiseration. I’ll try to be thankful for him tomorrow.
Why did you cancel reservations?
Because I hoped it would give him enough time to get our room in order for at least sleeping. Plus I’m pretty pissed? Disappointed? Frustrated?
Petty. The word you’re looking for is, petty.

Since you didn't do that I'm wondering who really is the idiot here?
No, sorry. We’re not giving men free passes for learned helplessness anymore.
Ok. In my marriage my husband and I each did the stuff we were good at. It did not divide along sexist lines either. For instance, I mowed the grass, he sewed the curtains. Just one example.
Doesn't that make a bit more sense than ranting like a shrew on DCUM because your husband screwed up the hotel reservation?
