Why do Democrats want to keep this emergency status?
Because it allows them unprecedented control over the people. Biden stated that the pandemic is over months ago.
Who is being controlled in November 2022? This means COVID. Posters and shots will stop being free. I’m l okay— my insurance would cover. But, I’m fine with making sure people who boost in anticipation of the holidays are covered.
A state of emergency allows the Biden administration to expand the welfare state.

Until we get through the idiocracy, this will continue to drag our society.
From what I understand, one of the "common cold" viruses circulating is a version of the 1918 flu that killed millions.
I'm assuming covid is now mutated to a similar version that's essentially harmless.
Yes, yes, people are "dying of covid" but are they really?
Do you know how many people die of a "cold" too?
No, you don't because death certificates are pretty unreliable as to cause of death.
A person can have terminal cancer and "die" of covid, when that person was weeks from death. Yes, covid killed that person, but so would any other cold virus.
I just heard Fauci say that there's evidence the new boosters work very well. He is lying. There is NO evidence the new boosters work because the new boosters were not tested on humans.
There IS evidence and plenty of it that the original vaccines work well. Perhaps that's what Fauci meant to say (he didn't say that.)
We do not know how long immunity from the original vaccines lasts. I've heard immunologists say it may last a lifetime, and others say it's short-lived, but we can't be sure because of the complexity of the immune system.
One thing we do know is that covid vaccines do not prevent Omicron and its variants and the newer variants. All of us will get sick from Omicron and its heirs at one point or another, whether we're vaccinated and treble boosted.
I'm going to skip the latest booster because of what I just mentioned. Dr. Paul Offitt has said he sees little value medically in the booster shots after the initial two covid vaccines. I'm going with Paul.
However, I do not have any comorbidities, I've had Omicron, I'm healthy and young enough to not be at much risk of dying of covid.
The emergency is over. Democrats are idiots. Let it go the way of the 1918 flu.

Deep addiction to totalitatian power.

Covid is here to stay. There will always be new variants. The current vaxx doesn't do much against the current variants. You want us to live in "national emergency" status forever?
The current bivalent booster is pretty effective against current strains. It doesn't perfectly prevent transmission; but it does help keep dumbasses out of the hospital and prevent rationing of care.
For a max of two months
So you admit there is a benefit?
Thanks for confirming!

A judge has already ruled that Title 42 must be dropped.
Just a district court judge and the ruling is currently stayed. But if the Republicans succeed here then the admin will have no choice. Why are the Republicans helping the illegals?!?!?!?!?!?!?
