Hammers 2028 team played in HoCo this Spring (lost in the semis by 1) and will be picking up a few kids from VLC this summer (who are leaving the VLC A team) so will continue to get better. They practice across Loudoun County (Leesburg/South Riding/Aldie/Brambleton).
My kid is on hammers 2028 and this is absolutely not true. There is no room on the roster for anymore players. We already have too many as it is. Just like all the other clubs there will be evals at the end of the season for next years roster.
You must not be an experienced travel lacrosse parent, because the size of the roster has relatively little bearing on whether player(s) will be added. Rather it depends on how good the new player is. If he is good, they will add him at any time, carry an oversized roster until the next tryout cycle, and then trim the size of the team at that time.

I’d avoid the toxic culture at MadLax if you can. Also, they’re usually great in the early years but their D1 commit numbers are pretty bad compared to other local clubs for the older teams so you’d be better off aiming for another team at this point.

At the 28 level Madlax has consistently been in the top three area teams and is easily the best team in Virginia. The coach gets some bad press but as far as I can tell he’s within the expected range for elite lax coaches. If you’re a talented midfielder Madlax is a great opportunity.
In terms of recruiting ML is also in the top four teams in the area and easily the best team in Virginia.
